Md. Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan completed MBA from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. Earlier, he completed graduation in International Relations from the same University. He Secured 2nd position in the SSC examination and 6th position in the HSC Examination in the board merit list.

Md. Bhuiyan had been a Director of IIDFC Securities Limited and IIDFC Capital Limited from April 01, 2018 to June 2025.

He worked as Managing Director & CEO of Industrial & Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IIDFC) Limited – a leading non-banking financial institution (NBFI) of Bangladesh sponsored by 10 Commercial Banks, 3 Insurance Companies and ICB.

He held the position of Deputy Managing Director, National Finance Ltd. (NFL) – a non-banking financial institution from June 01, 2016 to March 31, 2018 COO of GSP Finance Ltd. for 2 years.

He also worked as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of two leading full-fledged merchant bank-i) Al-Arafah Islami Bank Capital Management Ltd. – a subsidiary company of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. from Oct. 2013 to May 2016; and ii) BMSL Investment Ltd. from July 2010 to Sept 2013.

Mr. Bhuiyan started his career in MIDAS and worked in different positions, finally as General Manager, Study, Research and Training. He also worked as Sr. GM (Credit & Inv.) in Midas Finance Ltd.

He has commendable skill on Leadership, Strategic Management, Planning, Business Dev., Portfolio Management; and also specialized on Lending Operation, Loan Syndication, Merchant Banking & Capital Market Operation, Feasibility Study, Business development Service (BDS), Market Research, Sub-Sector Study, Entrepreneurship & Business Management Training

He attended several training/workshops in Thailand, India, Philippines and Bangladesh.

He conducted many Study, Research and Training as a Team Leader and Principal Trainer at home and abroad.
